Agadir Airport Taxi Prices (2026)

Every grand-taxi fare from Al Massira, day and night, in dirhams and euros — so you walk to the rank knowing the fair number instead of guessing. There's no meter, so this is your anchor.

There is no meter on the airport run, so the fare at the rank is whatever you and the driver agree — which is exactly why knowing the real numbers matters. The tables below are realistic, locally-fair grand-taxi prices, checked June 2026. Treat them as your anchor: when a driver opens high, you know roughly where to settle, and you settle it before your bags go in the boot.

Taxi to central Agadir — day and night

The most common run, and the one most worth knowing cold. Founty, the marina and the main beach hotels all fall in the same band; nowhere central is "much further", whatever a driver claims.

Taxi up the coast — Tamraght, Aourir, Taghazout

The surf villages cost more because they're further and because unmarked addresses make drivers wary. Have your accommodation's WhatsApp pin saved offline before you negotiate, and expect the higher end of the band if you land late.

Long-distance taxi fares — Taroudant, Marrakech and beyond

For these you're hiring the car for a long haul, so the numbers climb fast and there's real room to negotiate — or to compare against a fixed-price transfer, which often wins on longer routes. The Marrakech run in particular is a two-and-a-half to three-hour drive; agree everything, including stops, before you set off.

All figures are per car for a private hire, cash in dirhams, and agreed before loading. They drift with fuel and season — use them as a guide, not a guarantee. Rate used: ~1 EUR ≈ 10.8 MAD.

Local tip Pull dirhams from an ATM in the arrivals hall before you reach the rank, and break the notes — drivers rarely have change for a 200-dirham bill, and "keep the change" on a big note is how a fair fare quietly becomes an unfair one.

How to land the fair price

  • Agree the fare before the boot opens — "Combien pour le centre d'Agadir?" is enough.
  • Anchor to the table above and name your number; if the first quote is double, walk to the next car.
  • Confirm it's per car, not per person, especially as a couple or family.
  • Know your neighbourhood (Founty, marina, beach strip) so "it's much further" doesn't fly.
  • Save your coast pin offline for Taghazout and Tamraght drops.

Compare with a fixed-price transfer

If you'd rather not haggle, a booked transfer locks the price online. Terms show before you pay:

Some links here are affiliate links: if you book a transfer through them we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes the prices you see or what we recommend. How this works.

Frequently asked questions

How much should a taxi from Agadir airport cost in 2026?
To central Agadir, a fair grand-taxi fare is about 200–250 MAD by day (≈ €19–23) and 300–350 MAD after dark. Taghazout runs 300–400 MAD day, 400–500 MAD night; Taroudant 600–800 MAD. These are per-car private-hire prices, agreed before loading. Checked June 2026.
Is the airport taxi price per person or per car?
For a private hire it is per car, up to the driver's seat count — so a couple or family pays the same as a solo traveller. The confusion comes from "shared" grand taxis that locals split per seat, but at the airport rank you are almost always hiring the whole car. Confirm "par voiture, pas par personne" when you agree the fare.
Why is the Agadir airport taxi more expensive at night?
There is no meter on the airport run, and a recognised night premium applies after roughly 8–9pm — usually 30–50% over the daytime fare. Since most charter flights into AGA land in the evening, the night rate is what most arrivals actually pay. It is normal; just expect the higher number from the table.
Can I pay the airport taxi by card?
No. Grand taxis are cash only, in dirhams. Withdraw MAD from an ATM in the arrivals hall before you reach the rank, and carry small notes — drivers rarely have change for a 200-dirham bill. If you want to pay by card, a pre-booked transfer settled online is the only realistic route.
Is a taxi cheaper than a pre-booked transfer?
For a daytime run to central Agadir, a haggled grand taxi is usually a little cheaper than a transfer. But the gap narrows at night and for longer routes, and it disappears entirely the moment a driver quotes the tourist rate. A booked transfer to the city from about €20 removes that risk with a fixed price.

Know the price before you land

A pre-booked transfer fixes the fare online and puts a driver at arrivals with your name — no meter, no haggle, free cancellation on most bookings.
